Empowering Kosovo’s Digital Future: A Special Visit from Ministers Kusari-Lila and Hoti We had the honor of welcoming Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila and Minister Andin Hoti for a visit at StarLabs and Digital School.    The visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the latest developments in technology, their impact on the global market, and the importance of modern education in preparing younger generations for the digital future. In a rapidly changing world, technology and artificial intelligence are transforming the way we live, learn, and work, creating a growing need for new skills and innovative approaches to education.   During the discussion, we presented the vision and work of StarLabs as a company operating in the global technology market and contributing to the development of the digital industry. The conversation highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for young people in Kosovo and the need for continuous investment in education, innovation, and professional development, ensuring that future generations are prepared for the demands of the international market.  A special focus was placed on the advanced curriculum of Shkolla Digjitale and the way we equip children and young people with practical knowledge in programming, technology, digital creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Through modern teaching methods, the integration of technology into the learning process, and the concept of learning through play (gamification), students are engaged in a creative and interactive way while developing their skills. Through hands-on projects and a modern approach to education, they are being prepared for professions and industries that are continuously evolving through artificial intelligence and technological innovation.   The discussion also addressed the growing influence of AI on global industries and education. Artificial intelligence has already become an essential part of many international companies and brands, transforming workflows, communication, creativity, and product development. A Vision Shared: Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister Albulena Haxhiu Visits StarLabs and Digital School In a visit that underscored the growing importance of technology in Kosovo’s economic future, Acting Prime Minister Albulena Haxhiu paid an official visit to StarLabs and Digital School. Two institutions that have become symbols of Kosovo’s digital transformation and ambition on the global stage.  The meeting brought together government leadership and one of Kosovo’s most dynamic tech ecosystems for a wide-ranging conversation about innovation, international competitiveness, and the future of tech education for the next generation.    StarLabs: Kosovo’s Tech Engine With a Global Reach  At the heart of the discussions was StarLabs’ remarkable journey. A story brought to life by its founders, Hana Qerimi and Darsej Rizaj, who built the company from a two-person startup in Prishtina into the largest software development company in Kosovo. Today, StarLabs operates internationally, delivering full-cycle software development across a wide range of industries supported by services spanning Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Customer & Tech Support, with clients stretching across Europe and beyond.  According to data by Data Forex, StarLabs contributes approximately 7% of Kosovo’s total tech service exports, a figure that speaks to the company’s outsized impact on the national economy. It is education reimagined for a generation that has grown up in a digital world.  Acting Prime Minister Haxhiu expressed enthusiasm for this approach, recognizing gamification as a forward-thinking model capable of shaping today’s students into the digital professionals of tomorrow, thereby investing in the development of the generation that will lead a digital Kosovo for decades to come.  Government Support: A Partnership for the Future  The visit concluded on a note of commitment and optimism.
